This enchanting Tuscan town is located almost in the center between Firenze and Rome and offers one of the most particular natural landscape. Santa Fiora lies on a hill on the side of Monte Amiata. The historic center is surrounded by chestnut trees, wild landscapes and the source of Fiora River.

The town is split into three neighbouroods: Castello, Borgo and Montecatino. Each one of them is a different environment with unique atmospheres: historical monuments, wide landscapes and characteristics streets make this village one of the most beautiful in Italy!

Getting around the area

Once you’ve reached the village by car, you could continue the discovery of this place on foot. This medieval city is the hometown of some cultural and historical attractions, like the Sforza Cesarini’s Palazzo del Conte, or the pictoresque Church of Sant’Agostino.

In Santa Fiora, once you’ve had a look around its naroow streets, admiring beautiful scenes in the valley of Fiora, Monte Calvo and Monte Labbro, you have to take a visit to the Peschiera: It was a part of a noble garden then transformed into a little lake in the middle of the town and surrounded by an enchanting English garden. A particular flora grows on this place and reflects on its water, making the park cool and shady, filled with many species of flowers. It’s definitely one of the most suggestive spot!
