Description
The Ancient Abbey is an amazing B&B located 250 mt from the main square of the medieval town and close to every service you may need during your workation here. The B&B features 3 bedrooms, private parking and a beautiful panoramic pool open during the summer season.
Accommodation
The B&B is housed in a historic building of Novello and can accommodate up to 6 people.
Each space has been renovated adding modern comforts and maintaining the characteristics of the historic building such as the beautiful vaulted ceilings and floors embellished with ancient tiles.
There are currently 3 double bedrooms, each one with double bed:
- 1 deluxe bedroom (25 sqm)
- 1 double bedroom with balcony (25 sqm)
- 1 double bedroom with large bed (22 sqm)
Every morning you will be delighted by the tasty breakfast prepared by the hosts, in fact the B&B is family run and the owner is a very good cook!
During the summer season you could enjoy your free time in the amazing panoramic pool of the B&B or in the wide terrace that overlooks the surrounding landscape.
Here you could use the common areas to work or, if you prefer, use the space in your own bedroom.
Location
Novello is a small medieval village in the lower Piedmont that is part of the wine landscape of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, as a Unesco heritage site.
The village has about 1000 inhabitants and as you can imagine the main activity is certainly the wine production, in particular of the prestigious wines such as Barolo, Dolcetto and Barbera.
The town is welcoming, quiet, all well cared for, spending your workation will lead you to a return to life on a human scale.
The village’s fortress is dominated by the Castle, a striking building that emerges between vineyards and woods, surrounded by centuries-old chestnut trees.
During your stay there will certainly be good food and wine, numerous activities to do and breathtaking landscapes!

Getting around the area
Novello is located in southern Piedmont, in the heart of the Langhe, a UNESCO heritage site since 2014. Reaching Novello is quite simple, Turin is about 1 hour by car, Cuneo about 45 minutes away. The nearest railway station is located in Alba about 20 km from Novello. We recommend arriving by car so that you can move around with greater autonomy. A few minutes drive from Novello you can visit all 11 villages that are part of the Langhe and its medieval castles. Nice to know, if you like walking, 5 scenic trekking routes start from Novello among vineyards, woods and small villages!
