Description
A 6th-century Benedictine monastery finely renovated into a widespread B&B. The monks’ cells have been turned into rooms and the ancient refectory into a restaurant. You will stay in one of the 4 single rooms of the monastery.
Accomodation
The room, an original monk cell of the ancient monastery, features a french or a single bed. The private bathroom has the shower, courtesy set consisting of soap, bath cream, shampoo, terry towels and scented candles. Warm, fluffy Danish-style duvets await you on comfortable mattresses. Even the wardrobes, finely crafted in wrought iron by a local artisan, contribute to the research for simplicity.
Remote workers will be able to work inside the “Sala a Volte”, originally the Monastery’s cistern, which with its characteristic stone walls and vaults has acquired a unique charm.
Location
Veroli was one of the most important towns in the Erniche area and it is one of the richest villages in Ciociaria in terms of history, culture and art. It offers breathtaking scenery and extraordinary nature.
Part of the wide polygonal walls of the ancient city of the Ernici is still visible in the district of San Leucio, reused by the Romans and then reinforced during the Middle Ages with the addition of towers and gates. The Monastery is located in the heart of the historical centre of the town.
A multi-storey car park is a 5-minute walk from the Monastery.
