The term ‘Schiticchio’ was already used in the 17th century and its etymology is still uncertain. However, it can be defined as a type of meal eaten in the open air in good company.
Our ‘Schiticchio’ dinner will be held in the magical location of the enchanted castle of Sciacca; tables will be set among the olive and almond trees, under a cascade of lights and surrounded by Sicilian folk music.
The dinner will be a convivial moment; typical dishes and products of Sicilian culture and the village of Sciacca will be served, accompanied by good wine and popular songs and dances.
