Description
When you arrive in Ligonchio, on the main road you will find the historic Ristorante il Lago. It is so called because it has a beautiful view of the hydroelectric power station basin.
This restaurant was built after the war and has always been a point of reference for tourists and Ligonchio residents. The Casanova family bought it in 1987. Gianni and his wife Cristina run it with an unmistakable affability. Gianni is the chef, Cristina the waiter, while Paolo – the head of the family – is the expert of wines and the excellent sheep’s milk cheeses.
There is also a beautiful and spacious summer terrace where you can admire the magnificent view of the hydroelectric power station’s basin during your lunch or dinner here.
The restaurant offers traditional menus and typical Emilian dishes every day, with the possibility of tasting wood’s products such as porcini mushrooms and truffles.
