An unforgettable hands-on experience while enjoying the most beautiful Cilento countryside. Get to visit a splendid Circular cheese farm and learn how to make your own delicious caciotta cheese!

What you will do

For over 40 years, the farm you will visit has been breeding Italian Friesian cows, Mediterranean buffaloes and chamois goats. At the same time, the farm transforms the milk from its herds into tasty dairy products of the Cilento tradition and the Mediterranean diet. Tenuta Chirico is also an exemplary case of ‘Green Enterprise’, hosting a photovoltaic and biogas plant, both capable of producing electricity from renewable sources.

The experience will begin with a genuine breakfast with products from the dairy (yogurt, cakes, juices if it is citrus season, coffee). Afterwards, together with the cheese-maker you will visit the dairy lab and take part in the making of a raw-milk caciotta, which each participant can take home. The experience will continue with a walk in the countryside discovering the farm. On this occasion, you will be explained how the circular economy model that underpins the values of the family farm is put into practice.

It will be an incredible experience that will engage all your senses and allow you to discover a really interesting local farm!
