Martorana fruit is a paste made from almonds, the shape of a fruit is made from it and then painted until it looks real.
It was born in 1500 when the nuns of the Martorana Convent in Palermo painted sweets to embellish the fruit trees of their garden on the occasion of an important autumn visit.
With our pastry chefs you will learn how to make almond paste, how to shape it and finally paint it, to the point that you won’t want to eat it so as not to ruin such a beautiful masterpiece.
