What will you do
The Cheese factory is located on the enchanting hills that connect the medieval Montepulciano to the Renaissance town of Pienza. Since its origins, the farm has always been faithful to an artisanal production respecting the local typicality. Only a few years ago the owners decided to open the doors to people curious to know how their famous Pecorino is produced, telling all the stages and processes of production, from milking to salting, to maturing.
The meeting point will be the farm, about 6 km from the center of Montepulciano, easily reachable by car. In the characteristic tasting room with a suggestive view of the Temple of S. Biagio, you can taste their varieties of Pienza Pecorino cheese, enjoy the landscape and discover what makes their products unique.
The tasting includes 5 types of pecorino, their tasty ricotta paired with local jam and honey, all accompanied by a good glass of Rosso di Montepulciano wine.
During the tasting, a video will be shown that will tell you the story of how this small family business was born and some curiosities about the production process.
