The house has two floors. On the first floor there is a large open space consisting of a fully equipped kitchen and a living area with a sofa, dining table, TV and air conditioning. On the upper floor there are two bedrooms, one bedroom with a double bed, one bedroom with a single bed and two bathrooms, one equipped with a shower.

Castelbuono is located at the foot of the “Milocca Hill”, in the valley of the Madonie. The historical center with its maze of alleyways and historical buildings testifies the ancient origins of this town. The name “Castelbuono” was given thanks to the amazing Castel of Ventimiglia, one of the most famous monuments in this medieval gem, built by the Count Francesco I Ventimiglia.

Getting around the area

You can easily visit the historical center of Castelbuono on foot. To explore the surroundings it is suggested to rent a car, anyway, there is a bus connection to the nearest bus or train station which is located in Cefalù, 20km from Castelbuono. From there you can reach the main cities of Sicily and also the famous places nearby which are well known as hiking destinations such as Cefalù, Monte Grotta, and Pizzo Carbonara. The nearest airport is the “Falcone and Borsellino” airport located in Palermo, around 120km far from here.
