The apartment is located in a quiet street, a few steps from the central square of the town where bars, restaurants and shop are available. The house is part of an ancient Ligurian house, a century old tower that is spread over several floors and the rooms are connected to each other by characteristic stairs – there are no elevators.

Accommodation

The accommodation is unique, furnished with care and attention to detail, with original furnishings of the ancient traditional peasant typical of the area. Staying in this house you have the feeling of going back in time, a nice location where you can spend your workation!

In particular, the accommodation includes:

• full equipped kitchen with cookers, fridge, coffee machine, microwave oven
• 3 double bedrooms with double bed (they cannot be separated)
• 2 modern bathrooms equipped with shower

The highlight of this big apartment is its terrace with a stunning view of the medieval streets of Dolceacqua and the beautiful Doria Castle. 

You can decide to work at home, out in the terrace or in the coworking space located 200 meters from the house.

Location

Dolceacqua is a typical medieval village in the Nervia valley, along the Nervia river. The oldest part of the village is dominated by the Doria castle and is called “Terra” (Téra in the local dialect) by the locals.

The modern part, called “Borgo”, stretches out on the opposite side. Dolceacqua is a small village but rich in history, legends, traditions, art and culture. In the main street you could find several bars, shops and “Alimentari” (local mini market) where you could buy local products and food.

Getting around the area

Dolceacqua is situated in the hinterland of western Liguria, in the Val Nervia, just a few minutes from the Riviera dei Fiori (Ventimiglia, Bordighera, Sanremo). For those who enjoy cycling there is a cycle path that connects to the sea promenade in about 20-25 minutes.

The nearest railway station is Ventimiglia (10 km from Dolceacqua), from where you can reach the village by a convenient bus service run by Riviera Trasporti. The nearest international airport is Nice (50 km away), alternatively Genova airport.
