Wear a bee suit and experience how it feels to be inside an apiary. Open hives with a local beekeeper and get ready to learn about the extraordinary life of the honeybee!
What will you do
This will be an immersive visit to a local apiary where you will get to know the queens of biodiversity up close and understand the wonderful world of bees and honey production… with a sweet tasting at the end!
Once you will wear your bee suit and received explanations and instructions on how to behave, you will be catapulted to discover the organisation of the hive, the roles and tasks in the life of bees: you will also be explained the benefits of propolis, royal jelly, pollen and beeswax.
At the end of the visit, you can taste the different types of honey locally produced by the farm.

In case of bad weather condition, the experience will be held into the Castle of Pollica and will consist of a presentation about the bee world (there will be no bees) followed by a honey tasting session.
