In San Gemini there are two districts – Rioni – that every year arrange a famous medieval re-enactment and compete against each other. During this event, characteristic medieval costume parades take place along the streets and groups of drummers play in unison.

What will you do
The experience will take place inside the district of Rione Rocca, here, together with some of the drum experts, participants will be initiated into the knowledge of these ancient instruments, their history, use and technique will be explained. With the teachers they will tune the instrument themselves, just as it was done in the 14th century; at the end they will try to hold the sticks and play the drum!
The meeting point will be the headquarter of Rione Rocca.
Upon request and for an extra price we could arrange an aperitivo inside the Rione!
