The district
The Alimini lakes or Limini lakes are two Apulian lakes located north of the city of Otranto, in the province of Lecce. The two lakes are connected by a canal, called Lu Strittu.

The closest beach is located in Frassanito and is about 1km and 300 meters away, where the Alimini seaside area begins and where free beaches and equipped beaches alternate for more than 2 km.
